Biography

Michael Prothero began working as a group and individual therapist in 1993. Upon graduating with a Masters in Counseling Psycology, he worked with the Yuba County Probation Department Victim/Witness Assistance program for 15 years as a Clinical Social Worker and Advanced Clinical Supervisor. In 2000, he started his own private practice business in Yuba City that has now expanded into a multi-therapist corporation serving the Yuba-Sutter area.

Michael specializes in therapy among individuals, families, parents, teenagers, and children. He has experience working with “at-risk” youth, and has developed and taught a teenager anger management program and a batterer’s intervention program for adult offenders.
